We are thrilled that Jupiter will be our first herd sire–he comes from very nice foundation animals with lines from two of Wisconsin’s most respected Mini Nubian breeders. His dam, Tati, is described as a great milker, so we are excited to see how he does with our girls! You can see more on Tati by following the link to her Homeward Bound Farm page.

Jupiter was born in 2023 and had not been used to breed yet, so we had our vet perform a breeding soundness exam when he joined our herd, which he passed with flying colors. We bred him for the first time fall 2025 to our does, and all three were confirmed bred by ulrasound!

Jupiter has a great personality and seems to be an easy keeper so far. He is gentle with us, walks well on a lead, and is a gentleman with the does while still getting the job done. He also asserted himself as the dominant male in the buck/wether pen without being too aggressive or harming his companions. Overall, a great buck and we cannot wait to welcome his first kids this spring!
